Hybrid learning combines face-to-face learning with online or virtual learning. Our hybrid classroom uses technology to allow for physical learning at the center while simultaneously enabling remote learning. The classrooms are equipped with large screens, a 4K camera (one level above HD) that tracks the activity in the classroom, microphones, and speakers that adjust to the speaker and eliminate background noise. If a child in Crete asks a question, everyone in the classroom will see and hear them as if they were sitting right next to us. And if a child in the Athens classroom speaks, the child from Crete will hear and see only them. Of course, the technology is just a useful tool to ensure everyone feels part of the group and the lesson.
Currently, we operate for four hours a day, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday.
We are open to children from all across Greece and Cyprus, and actually from anywhere with an Israeli community. Children outside Athens will learn virtually through our advanced digital platform, alongside those attending the center in person. This is the advantage of the hybrid classroom.

We will do everything we can to accommodate every child. If a child requires a personal teaching assistant, we will make special arrangements to meet their needs.
We are prepared and ready to open a lesson for any group of four or more children. We have excellent teachers for almost any subject you can think of and are always excited to explore new ideas we haven’t thought of yet:)
ALEF is located in Paleo Faliro, a quiet, green area in the southern part of Athens. It’s a 20-minute drive from the city center and 10 minutes from Glyfada. The center is nestled between lawns and trees in a safe and pleasant environment. The exact address will be provided privately.
Our center is small and intimate, and it’s important for us to provide individual attention to each child. Therefore, the number of children attending each class in person is limited: no more than 18 children in the older and younger groups, and 10 children in the younger group that require special attention. Even before we opened, there was a high demand for the center, so we recommend registering early.

Our teachers are Israeli and have taught in the Israeli education system. The core subjects follow the Israeli curriculum but also go beyond it, adapting to the needs of life outside of Israel.
Our teachers teach and prepare students for the Bagrut exams. We will open a group at subscription prices for every 4 students and offer private lessons for those who wish to take the Bagrut exams.
Our center is designed for all school-age children, from 6 years old to the end of high school.
At this time, ALEF is not a school that requires daily attendance or completion of a full set of subjects, so we do not offer certificate-based courses. However, we are always looking ahead. Athens wasn’t built in a day.

Of course, you can stay for a short period on a one-time basis. We’ll make you a coffee. For longer stays (more than half an hour), we offer a quiet, pleasant space to work, available for a very small fee, depending on availability. We have a limited number of workspaces.
